Bollard has been knocked down

Clear in photo bollard has been knocked down causing hazard.

  • Well, well. This is what happens when councils let morons park on the pavements. We should all be grateful it wasn't a child or disabled person behind as that was hit with a massive amount of force.

    There is only one way this single bollard could have been smacked in this direction, and that's if someone was driving on the pavement. Illegal, stupid, and yet still practically encouraged by HCC/EHDC. Oh, and we all pay for the damage, whether it's paving slabs, or other damage like this.

    Maybe the council should actually do something about their ridiculous 'policies', and then things like this are much less likely.

    Another point needs to be put on this as the 'repair' done has been short of standards.

    The bollard has been removed and the hole has simply been filled where it was. This bollard protected pedestrians from people driving along the pavement. Evidently it worked, as it got knocked down by a vehicle.

    I can't believe the council would remove a safety feature.
