Traffic separator barrier

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category by Stephen Parsons at 07:02, Thu 11 November 2021

Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3117062.

The traffic barrier that was installed as part of the COVID 19 safety measures outside the Redcliffe Hotel in Paignton and under the pedestrian bridge outside the Palm Court development are superfluous and don’t provide any additional width to the pavement any more. The small space left is heavily contaminated with dirt and leaves and would be hazardous to use. They have also become haphazardly placed due to a lack of upkeep/maintenance, and I would suggest are a great risk, especially to cyclists. They either need to be rearranged and have the area cleaned so it is usable or my preference would be for them to be removed. I have contacted the Kevin Foster MP in regard to this matter and he has replied stating I need to contact the Council directly. So I have used the App “Fix my street” as this was the most convenient method available to me. Kind regards Stephen Parsons 14 Eden Grove TQ3 2JL
