Updates

  • This road Rose Road has been patched numerous times and all the repairs are now at different levels making the road uneven from one end to the other. There are close to 100 vehicles an hour travel this road and twice that number in the summer. I have reported this problem on many occasions over the last 5 years... The high vehicle volume of traffic is caused by the road being used as a rat run for drivers coming from north of the railway crossing in Junction Road to travel to Waterside and Rushington area. This situation was initially caused because the gaps on the dual carriageway (A35) were closed because it became too dangerous with the increase in traffic...There was nowhere else for the traffic to go apart from Eling Lane, Rose Road and Bartram Road, to get back on to the A35....Also there was no consideration for the residents of the roads or visitors to the recreation ground..the road needs resurfacing from end to end.as a matter of urgency....
