Vehicle FG61KAA a Silver Citroen Berlingo Van parked on pavement/grass verge.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:26, Sat 6 November 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3108068.

A Silver Citroen Berlingo FG61KAA is parked partially on the pavement and grass verge outside 70 Longmoor Road, Liphook. Although it is taxed and MOT'd it has been there for some time and has flat tyres. It should not be parked on the pavement and grass verge and needs to be removed, and then measures taken to ensure vehicle parking does not occur in the future (possible wooden dragons teeth positioned on the grass verge to prevent vehicle access).

Updates

  • Keep an eye on this, as it is very unusual that someone will pay money to keep a car in that state. Flat tyres get damaged, and in a dangerous state, if left that way. If it suddenly gets MOTd, but stays exactly where it is, and doesn't have its tyres inflated, it could be running on dodgy plates!

In terms of parking on the pavement - if it is causing an obstruction (e.g. to prams/pushchairs) that is an offense, as is driving along the pavement. Either way it can be dragged off the pavement by the proper authorities.
