Flooding on Burbage Road/Elm Tree Drive junction

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:45, Sun 31 October 2021

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3094613.

Whenever we experience heavy rain, the drains don’t appear to be able to handle the volume (whether due to silt in drain perhaps?).

This photo shows the after effects of heavy rain on 31st October, although the large puddle can be worse than this, encroaching on traffic coming down Burbage Road and could be dangerous for two wheeled vehicles especially when light is poor, and pedestrians who will get soaked if a vehicle passes as no room due to traffic lights/crossing .

As mentioned earlier this is a long running issue that may be getting worse due to the drain flow being poor and potentially getting worse as the silt builds up further.
