Pavement uneven and dangerous
Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 19:49, Sat 23 October 2021
Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3080357.
Pavement from Pontymason Lane to junction with Risca Road is uneven and the angle/terrain is dangerous, particularly when getting close to Risca Road. Vehicles constantly speed up and down this section, despite the humps in the road, are dangerously close to you should you be a pedestrian. I frequently view vehicles turning right come off Risca Road onto Pontymason Lane and they are on the other side of road and take the corner at speed. Accident waiting to happen!

Problem still prevails, I passed an older couple this morning on this part of the pavement and they had to step into the road as, in my opinion, the angle of the pavement is dangerous for one person, let alone two. Accident waiting to happen.

This Council is an absolute joke! They focus on spending our money on ridiculous projects yet major issues are totally overlooked. No point in following up on this issue as they obviously couldn't give a damn! Refer to my complaint when someone gets killed there!
