According to Fairford Leys Parish Councillors, you are responsible for the hedges directly next to the footpaths on the above mentioned roads. The parish council has recently trimmed their sections, facing onto the roads themselves, but yours has not been trimmed in a year, and the hedges are now around 8 feet high! We have lived here for 3 years. When we viewed the house in Sept 2018 the hedge was nicely trimmed. In 2019 it was trimmed at least twice. Last year it was trimmed in Oct or Nov, but it took nearly two weeks of work. I now consider this a dangerous situation, as all of the cut through paths to the road are overgrown and blocked. Once on the footpaths there is no way out until you reach the other end. In addition, the height of the hedges is restricting light from the the street lamps. Following the death of Sarah Everard, I would consider it a risk for women to be using the path. In addition, the trees have put on exceptional growth this year. Could you inspect the trees for potential to cause damage to properties in the more severe winter storms we are experiencing? Thank you.
