4 Lights not working

Reported via desktop in the Parks and landscapes category anonymously at 10:17, Thu 14 October 2021

Sent to Runnymede Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3061786.

Street lights 1,2,4 and 7 are not working. 1 and 2 light the way into the park on National Cycle Route 4 which means bikes turning right into the park can't see if anyone is there, which is dangerous as they may have to brake in front of oncoming traffic or risk colliding with a pedestrian.

Updates

  • 7:30pm and the lights still dark. Given that clocks are going to go back soon and the evenings will be darker this needs fixing now as it becomes a safety issue for children walking home!

  • Chased council and copied in councillor. Apparently they are waiting for bulbs and for someone to cut the trees to give them access. I also reported lamp 7 in Free Prae Park as not working.

There was no indication of how long this would take.
