Flooded footpath, blocked drain and children having to walk in road

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 08:28, Tue 5 October 2021

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3042300.

At this location, for years, the footpath always floods due to bad drainage, meaning that children and young families on their way to school have to either try and skirt the water (which also extends past the roundabout) by walking on the road. This has been reported previously, but needs priority action as it's a hazard for the children, people with buggies or people in wheelchairs.

Updates

  • Ongoing issue every year...needs to be fixed properly. Rain fall heavy yesterday but now stopped and it's still flooded today and will only get worse as winter comes! Dangerous for kids going to and from school as NO alternative footpath! Also dangerous piece of road anyway with 4 ways cars can come this only makes it alot more dangerous.
