Trees in public footpath need surveying & maintenance.

Reported via desktop in the Trees and Woodland Maintenance category by Robert Staples at 13:23, Monday 27 September 2021

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council less than a minute later

I am the headteacher of Fairlands Primary School. This morning a large tree fell across the public footpath which 660 children use to get to school each day. This happened whilst the children were arriving at school and could have resulted in serious injury. The trees in the footpath urgently need to be surveyed to assess the risk of further falls, and appropriate maintenance undertaken. To the best of my knowledge, this has never been done in the 14 years I have been headteacher at the school.
