Overgrown hedges / bushes
Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 18:17, Sun 19 September 2021
Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council less than a minute later
Please can the council arrange for the overgrown bushes (which have been overcome in many places with weeds covering them) to be cut back.
This used to be trimmed / cut back heavily every 3 or so years but has not been maintained in over 5 years now making the pathway at the end of Cheverel Place and Cheverel Street very dark (the bushes cast a shadow instead of allowing the street lamp to light up the pathway).
Considering the nursing home is located on Cheverel Place and in use 24hrs a day, the residents who are mobile, visitors and staff have to walk this pathway and with winter nearing, urgent work needs to be carried out.
The Parks maintenance has been a known issue but this directly impact the safety of those who use this area - please inspect at the earliest opportunity.

Feedback from NBBC (12/11/2021, 1st reported 19/9/2021!):
Thank you for your inquiry. Weather permitting, grass mowing will continue through November. Shrub bed and hedge maintenance will continue in line with our current schedules for the remainder of the year. Fly tip and litter issues will be dealt with as they arise. There may be delays due to circumstances beyond our control, however we are making all efforts to bring the contract maintenance back within the normal schedule range and appreciate your patience in this matter.
Maybe they’ll get round to it next summer……
