Cars doing 50+ in 20 zone near school - Speed bumps needed

Myself and a number of residents on New Fosseway Road are appaled at the number of cars speeding, well exceeding the speed limit of 20mph (some going over 50mph). The route is used by school children and elderly every day and therefore is very dangerous to allow this to go on. I've just moved to the area, but have heard many older residents say this has been an issue for decades but has increased in recent years.
This is a residential area and would benefit hugely from speedbumps placed throughout the road as well as speed cameras to deter speeding 'boy racers'. It's a long road and slopes downhill from Wells road, encouraging speeding further. Ideally, we need the speed bumps around the entrance to Fortfield Road as this is where many reach their 'top speed' if they've come down the road from Wells Road as well as those skidding around the corner from Fortfield Road onto New Fosseway Road.
Happy to record the speeding cars if this helps support our case. I will be collecting signatures for the petition this month.
Thanks, much appreciate your help in keeping residential areas safe. Residents of New Fosseway Road, Hengrove.
