Dog fouling

Reported in the Dog fouling category by trevor hill at 11:31, Fri 21 December 2012

Sent to Richmondshire District Council 4 minutes later

At the back of our shop we have our own car park and land which owners of dogs let their animals foul without cleaning up.This in turn gets trodden into our shop which then costs us to get cleaned. This land is rented by us so we think we should be protected from this happening. The land is fenced off from the public but because it is out of the way people think the law does not apply. We are not happy.

  • The front of the shops at the top of New Road has dog poo smeared all the way along the street today. It really is disgraceful that the council no longer seem to pursue these people. What do we have to do to get action on this?

  • council were very helpful and are trying to solve this problem. They have talked to lots of house owners around and sent out leaflets making people aware that they must clean any fouling by their dog by law.
