Overgrown Footpath

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:28, Mon 13 September 2021

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2998054.

This footpath need to be cut back to restore it's full width. Access is getting worse by the day as blackberry bushes hang down catching you in the face as you walk along. Anyone with impaired site will caught. I have personally had to cut back the vines to enable pedestrian traffic for the school run, however this is now out of control and need some professional action to be taken.

Updates

  • As a regular user of the Footpath running alongside JCC down to the Golf Course, I wonder if there was a plan to cut back the Shubbery etc, as it is more like a Public Obstacle Course.

  • As you can see this area needs both removal of the brambles etc. but also the footpath clearing to the full width.
