Does Wantage have street cleaners?

I’ve asked this question by phone on a couple of occasions and been promised a response, none forthcoming, as to my knowledge there has been no street cleaning on Grove Street for a very long time. It would be great if people took responsibility for their own areas, but sadly people don’t, the majority think it’s someone else’s job. I do my best and pick up litter where I see it as well as sweep/clean outside my own and the next door property, and a wonderful resident in Stirlings Road cleans all the residential frontages herself on a regular basis. We pay hefty sums in Council Tax and street cleaning is I think included, perhaps it’s not?
