Dangerous parking.

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:34, Fri 10 September 2021

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The car shown and several others including a large van are regularly parked up to the stop lines and often parked one behind the other. This means cars leaving Hampton Gardens are forced onto the wrong side of the road to get to the Harlow road often meeting cars turning in to Hampton Gardens. The roads here are quite narrow and it won’t be long before there’s a ‘head on’ collision. It’s dangerous and inconsiderate. Maybe a double yellow line along that stretch would discourage it.

Updates

  • After reporting this I received an email back saying that there had been no incidents or accidents therefore there was no problem here. I’ll just wait until there’s a collision or a near miss then I’ll report it again.

  • No action taken. Basically ignored so will just wait for an incident/accident to happen before I try again.
