Dangerous Potholes, caused concussion of a cyclist.

Reported via iOS in the Potholes category anonymously at 14:59, Tue 7 September 2021

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2985607.

There are dangerous potholes at this junction in in its vicinity when heading towards Far Coton. The most dangerous potholes are across the junction where at the joint of the tarmac of the two roads. My friends witnessed me hit one of the potholes and come off my cycle, causing concussion. This resulted in a provoked seizure, witnessed by my wife, 10 hours later. My GP and The DVLA have been informed. I have not driven since the seizure and my GP advised me not to drive. I expect not to be allowed to drive for at least six months. The corner needs to be taken widely, because of the poor road surface on the inside of the bend.

Updates

  • Despite the serious injury and the consequence of being unable to drive for at least six months, these potholes caused, they have not been fixed. I can understand why people resort to solicitors.
