Council owned hedge to boundary wall of 51, Hawthorn Brook Way, New Oscott, Birmingham B23 5LF. A cut has been recently made to the face of the council hedge as it was forcing pedestrians to walk into the road. However there has been no attempt to redirect the hedge height which is now 4 metres high. This is shielding light from No 51’s rear garden as it extends 2 metres above the boundary wall, this will make maintenance even harder on the next cut and may well undermine and damage No 51’s boundary wall as it is over 2metres thick in places. Previously your maintenance crews have cut this hedge using a cutting arm mounted on a vehicle, but on this occasion have used a trimmer that cannot possibly reach and is completely inadequate to do the job. I would expect this hedge to be reduced further in depth and reduced in height to the height of the boundary wall, 2 metres. Hedges should be no more than 2 metres.
