Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later

Farnham Road is experiencing an increased volume of vehicles speeding from the East. I believe this may be because the 40mph limit leaving the roundabout is not working in practice and vehicles continue at the national speed limit until they see the 30mph signs entering Odiham. The nature of the hill past Oak Tree Close means vehicles rarely reduce speed below 45mph. This is a serious safety issue, as many people find themselves having to leap out of the way of traffic when crossing the road in order to use the footpath adjacent to The Mapletons. My suggestion may be to initially liaise with the police in order to identify the extent of the problem.

  • Please also include The Street, North Warnborough 20mph which is mainly disregarded and the top of West Street Odiham/Nth Warnborough where it changes from 30 to derestricted, again people drive into 30 above the speed limit and accelerate out into the derestricted above the speed limit before leaving the 30...
