Footway barrier smashed by bus

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 22:40, Tue 24 August 2021

Sent to Southwark Borough Council less than a minute later

Footway barrier smashed by TfL red bus, reversing out of Bus Station over the road. Witnesses reported the bus rolled without the driver in the cab on 21st Aug 2021.

Barrier now hazard, and some visually disabled could be impaled on railings sticking out into the footway.

From 10th Sept 2021, Wireless Festival will see 40000 arrive at Crystal Palace Park for a major event, and this footway will become very crowded by the bus station and town centre bus stops. The broken barrier needs to be made safe or repaired before this date.
