Land Rover continually parked on pavement on corner, blocking view of oncoming traffic

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 15:15, Tue 24 August 2021

Sent to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2956021.

There is always a land rover parked fully on the pavement on the junction of Barwell Land and Ashby Road. Not only is it illegal it is inconsiderate as if you are trying to turn right out of Barwell lane, (a difficult enough junction as it is), your view is impeded by this vehicle making it hard to see oncoming traffic.

Updates

  • Residents of Barwell lane/Harwood Drive have had serious on road parking problems for a considerable period due to sporting activities on Swallows Green mainly when young children are playing football. It has been on going with so many 'near' accidents, parking all over pavements, right on bends, making it extremely difficult for residents to get off drives, and disabled in wheelchairs to manoeuvre pavements. What is so unbelievable is that Dorothy Goodman School open their large car park, the football teams put out cones (which drivers just move) a Large car park sign is displayed and obviously some parents cannot read,or are just too lazy.Today 4/9/2021 a lady from the football club put out so many cones, and stood on the corner directing drivers into carpark.Whoever you are thank you so much for your consideration and time.
