Tree roots raising the surface of the cycle path along west bound Martins Way adjacent to Trent Close

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 19:09, Tuesday 10 August 2021

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The section of cycle path on Martin Way ( westbound ) just past the junction with Grace Way down to the Weston Road bridge is badly damaged due to tree roots growing up under the surface. The section is heavily shaded due to the over hanging trees making the raised strips very dangerous. The surface of the tarmac is generally in a poor state of repair.

  • Photos show this problem has not been fixed. This is a fast downhill section of the cycle path and these ridges are incredibly dangerous
