Road Marking Wrong.

Reported via desktop in the Road markings category anonymously at 21:29, Wednesday 4 August 2021

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

Traffic coming from Newbold approaches Avon Mill Roundabout from a single carrigeway. There are two lanes marked - Turn left and straight on, which should be turn right. Some traffic is using the straight on lane to join the dual carriageway, which is dangerous as traffic in the turn left turn may immediately overtake traffic that is slow or entering the garrage or Yates Avenue or Consul road or indicate right to go down Technology Drive. Traffic usgoing straight on from Newbold Road onto the Leicester Road is often traveling at speed, meaning an accident is inevitable. PLease make the outside lane at the roundabout right turn only.

  • WCC said they would look into the marking. But as of yet it still says turn left (onto Leicester Rd) or straight on at what used to be a T Junction ! Urgently needs to be changed to Turn Right to avoid someone pulling out from the left lane of the A426 dual carriageway into the path of someone that has gone staight onto the outside lane often at speed.
