  • This park has been closed off to the general public for almost 6 months! Will this problem ever be resolved?

  • My kids used to love this park and playing in the woods there, now we avoid it.

It's been fenced off for months now. The teenagers that hang around there at night tear the fence down and have damaged it further. With no children playing there now, there are youths sat smoking weed on the benches during the day so I don't even use it as a short cut anymore. And again, with no kids there, people have started taking their dogs in there (yes there are clear 'no dogs' signs, they know that) so now there is poo on the grass and in the woods.

Great job! you have turned the childrens park into somewhere I won't take my kids.

I assume someone is paid to look after the park? Hand the money back.

  • The council called using a nonsense excuse that they can’t get the material to repair the floor as it comes from Europe and there is a shortage due to coronavirus. I subsequently contacted a couple of UK based firms who install the same or similar surfaces who seemed to have no supply shortages. Why can’t an alternative supplier be found? FYI they don’t read this page anymore you have to complain here

Encourage your friends too who have been affected. The more attention as a community we can draw to this issue the quicker it is likely to be resolved.

  • Contacting them direct is also pointless (see the fence damage report), I have Emails to councils and MPs from Witney, Oxfordshire and even Westminster going back over two years about that, and nothing has been done (except the repairs by myself using my own tools, parts and labour for free).

The paradox sadly is: IF there was someone there really motivated who could cut through all the red tape, organise contractors and materials and actually get something done...

...they would not working for the council, they would be doing something better.
