Over grown grass encroachment of the footpath

The footpath round our green on Highgate road opposite heathcote drive is ridiculously overgrown with weeds and grass. We have tried cleaning it ourselves but every time it’s mowed we are back to square one. Our neighbour who is in his 90s whom has to walk with a walking stick has tripped up on many occasions whilst walking to his taxi..this used to be so well kept by the council but now it’s a disgrace.
