Rubbish dumped carelessly, blocking the pavement.

Reported via mobile in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 14:19, Sat 24 July 2021 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxford City Council less than a minute later

Outside no. 38 Regent St, the occupants have left overflowing black rubbish bags on the pavement. They ignore the fact that the Council waste collection on Thursdays does not accept rubbish that isn't in the correct bin etc. The bags are spilling their contents everywhere, smelling bad and encouraging rats and other vermin. The occupants need to be advised to bin their rubbish appropriately, and store it within their front yard until the right collection day.

Updates

  • Now, outside 36 Regent St, a pile of MDF (from a broken furniture cabinet?) has been dumped on the pavement, partially blocking it. It has been left there for at least 2 weeks. If the householders don't have a way to take it to the dump, then they should be asked to apply for a Bulky Waste Collection. And while awaiting this, they need to store the stuff in their front garden, not on the public pavement.
