Reduction of speed limit from 40/50mph to 30mph

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:50, Sun 18 July 2021 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2873498.

Hart District Council & Hampshire County Council may not have the authority to enforce speeding but they do have the authority to recommend a change in the speed limit. Griffin Way North is no longer a boundary road but a road through a residential area. With house now on both sides the speed limit should be reduced from 40-50mph to 30mph. Residents expect this change to be made as a minimum by the local authorities.

Updates

  • Absolutely agree. Needs reviewing as residential houses on both sides of the road.

  • 100% agree - this is such a dangerous road for adults to cross, let alone school children.
