Trees are too tall and too wide and trunks have not been cleared of growth for a very long time.

Sent to Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2868952.
Trees alongside no 84 are ridiculously tall and dense now with lots of low, overhanging growth. The trunks have not been cleared up to the crown for several years (maybe once a year the very lowest growth is cut off to allow people along the footpath but even that is half hearted - this never reaches the crown and consequently the branches are growing lower and wider. I have asked before that the height of these trees be properly reduced - other streets in Harborough with lime trees have been fully pollarded in the past. Why not these?
My husband’s health is suffering as the trees are becoming much denser with growth and therefore there is a much higher quantity of seeds, sticky sap, general debris etc ending up in our garden which affects his asthma.
There have also been several large branches fall into our garden over the past year. I then have the problem of disposing of them (too big for the green bin), and that’s without even thinking about the consequences if the branches fell on someone - in our garden or in the street with a primary school opposite.

These trees have not been touched since I put in my complaint. I have also had no response from the council. They need dealing with, particularly now the primary school children have returned and many parents/children stand under the trees. Broken branches are common.
