Sunken Storm Drains

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 22:47, Wed 14 July 2021

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2865561.

Ongoing problem. These are the wrong type. They are causing structural damage to local houses and are otherwise dangerous. The Council have been advised repeatedly but claim that they are not responsible. This is not true.

Updates

  • Recent email from highways@norfolk.gov.uk advises that they cannot find a problem. I have enquired as to whether or not they require me to do more to highlight it, which I will happily do with a can of spray paint and/or a temporary concrete patch or two, and that I am considering instructing a specialist law firm.

Anyone who wishes to add weight to the matter should contact dan@danmcfarlane.co.uk

  • Asked Highways Agency if they could assure me that the road met statutory requirements in all respects.... Still awaiting a response. Safe to assume that the state of the road is there for unlawful
