Overhanging trees

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2855234.

These trees are getting taller and taller and are now taller tan our house with branches overhanging in to the garden in some instances by 6ft or more. We’ve had a couple of near misses from falling branches almost hitting my children. I’ve pruned back those that I can reach however the rest (and most dangerous) are simply too high. Branches falling from such a height, even smaller branches, can seriously injure an adult let alone a small child.

  • After requests for the trees on council land to be trimmed back as reaching, in some places, over 6 foot into garden my little girl was hit by a falling branch. Extremely angry that this hasn’t even been looked into
