Dangerous missing barriers.

Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:35, Sat 10 July 2021

Sent to West Sussex County Council and Worthing Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2852035.

Broken or missing barriers on Broadwater Bridge. These have been damaged for over 24 months. Temporary barriers fall into road obstructing traffic. I nearly knocked a cyclist off their bike as they swerved to miss the barrier laying in the road. Weeds growing around barriers which are very dirty and unsightly . I have reported this to WSCC.

Updates

  • Barriers still missing. Weeds and rubbish still present.

  • Some of the barriers have been replaced, but there are still some missing, and temporary barriers held in place by sand bags! The weeds and rubbish are still present on both sides of the bridge.
