Overgrown shrub blocking footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:13, Thu 8 July 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2848992.

There is no formal pavement here, but the grassy footpath that did allow people to walk next to the road the is now completely blocked by an overgrown shrub forcing pedestrians to walk into the road on a busy, blind corner. Cars swing around the corner-they can’t see the pedestrians & pedestrians have no-where to go. Very dangerous! The shrub has been there for years…& just keeps growing & now has finally blocked the footpath entirely. Corner of Whitby Road & Cliff Road.

  • Shrub is still here. we walk to the school bus on here, cars race around the corner without any thought that there may be a pedestrian (walking on the correct side of the road). I'm thankful that no-one has been hurt.
