Flooding
Reported via desktop anonymously at 19:34, Tue 6 July 2021
Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2845735.
Prescot Road Widnes, Whenever it rains the parapet on the East side between the Wellington inn and The United Services Club gets flooded. The parapet get completely submerged forcing pedestrians to cross the busy road, this also forces Drivers to the middle of the road to avoid driving through the flood water. this is a repeated problem and HBC Highways have been informed on several occasions since 2018, yet the problem persists. I am afraid there could be an accident and somebody injured because of being forced around the floodwater.

I find there is two big problems with this, 1 when frozen creates an big hazard of slipping 2 when flooded many people walking into oncoming traffic to get around it
