Overgrown footpath

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 19:29, Monday 5 July 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2843012.

The footpath is very overgrown. There are over hanging dead trees that are nearly touching the ground. The pathway is very narrow in places when it should be approx 6ft wide. It is never cleared by the council, even when the verge has been mowed it looks a terrible mess. The foliage has overgrown on the walkway, making the path narrow & slippery

  • One of the trees has been lightly trimmed. The tree in picture 3 which was right next to the trimmed tree has not been touch. Shoddy work. On the other side of this path, the council have trimmed a over hanging crab apple tree. They have left the cuttings on the ground. Not good enough, could do better!!

  • Some of the trees have been lightly trimmed. This path needs to be cut back hard to make a difference. I have seen the landscapers sitting in their vehicle in the near by car park not doing much. They also hide behind the overgrown trees on the grass areas. They churn up the grass with their vehicle so you know when they have been there.
