Still no action taken for this Environment Agency registered flood defence asset. The overgrown trees, out of the side of the flood defence are a new concern, as one or two are now collapsing into the river avon causing structural damage. The Environment Agency was your first suggestion as to the agency to contact with this regard, however, you were wrong and sadly, depite being the primary authority on this subject the Emscote Gardens Flood Defence is a sole Warwick Council asset. If the responsibilty of this structure has been the subject of a reminder in the past, the matter of collaping trees is very new and requires your urgent attention. Routine engineering inspections would reveal this, you might be pleased that I have brought this to the attention of the local authorities as a concerned and responsible member of the public. I am not a council employee and to me the local authorities are all the same. Please forward this matter to the designated and responsible internal department of your organisation, you are best placed to do this amongst yourselves. I will be at my own place of work. I still await some update as to what has been done so far.
