The road is falling away and there are large potholes

These potholes are getting worse, especially when you are travelling south and trying to avoid large vehicles/lorries coming in the opposite direction. The road is falling away into the verge on the east side of Stone Street and the problem is getting worse. it is very difficult to keep your car on the road.

  • When travelling south on this bit of road you need to be careful of wide vehicles coming in the opposite direction and partly on your side of the road. This forces you into the nearside of the road and it is difficult to keep a straight course with all the potholes and avoid the oncoming large vehicles.

  • This lack of maintenance continues to be dangerous especially when travelling souht and large vehicles are taking over more than half the road. This forces you into the edge of the road where it has fallen away and there are large potholes
