The street lights on this stretch of road have not been working on this stretch of road for well over a year. I regularly walk this stretch of road late at night, and have fallen on debris that is littered all over the footpath. I have tripped and actually fell onto the road on two occasions,as its that dark you cannot see what is in front of you, just pure luck that no traffic was present at the time, if there was im certain it would have resulted in my death. as its that dark you cannot see what is in front of you.
Thank you for your patience whilst we looked into your report. The electrical network cable in this area failed electrical test. The work to repair the lights has been designed but has been delayed due to high voltage. Also high pressure gas main and an oil pipe line in the vicinity have been found. A survey is being carried out to determine the exact location of the gas main and oil pipe so at present we do not have a start date for this repair work. We need to first locate these underground service to maintain the safety of our workers and the local area. Is there any update on when these street lights will be fixed? This was brought to your attention three months ago.

4 months on and the problem still continues. Why give people the option to report stuff if you are not interested in road safety and actually fixing issues??
