Tall grass when merging onto the A45
Reported via desktop in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) category anonymously at 15:53, Wednesday 23 June 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
The tall grass on the right-hand side when entering the A45 from the A4071 causes a hazard as vehicles are unable to see over the grass to check that they are able to safely merge onto the A45.
This also makes it difficult for traffic already on the A45 to be able to see if any traffic is attempting to merge on the road.
Thank you for contacting Highways England.
We have passed your report regarding the overgrown grass to our local inspector who will review the issue as part of their next safety check.
If any safety critical issues are found they will action immediately to reduce the risk to travelling public. If the issue is not safety critical it will added to our routine maintenance programme to be actioned in the future.
Kind regards Highways England
