Skoda parked near junction regularly - not 10 meters away. Owner works at The Double Red Duke Hotel and says it’s ok as no double yellow lines and work said it was ok to park there. An accident is waiting to happen at this crossroads!!

Rule 243 of the Highway Code states you must not park opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space. The possible penalty is a non-endorsable fixed penalty of £50–£100 for causing an unnecessary obstruction. If an accident were to occur: it’s likely the owner of an offending vehicle will take a large proportion of the blame – and be fined accordingly.
