The footpath in places is becoming impassable.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:58, Sun 20 June 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2805411.

Walking this path in either direction:- New Alresford - Winchester, Winchester - New Alresford has become very difficult with over grown verges. The B3047 is a very busy road with large lorries, buses, and some cars exceeding the speed limit. I would also like to mention the welcome to Alresford sign erected by the Rotary Club is now obscure because verge cutting seems to have been put on hold.

  • With much regret the problem has not been resolved, in fact since recent rainfall and sunshine the vegetation has grown so much you now have to walk on the B3047 in some places which is very dangerous. Having checked where the marker is place I have perhaps mislead you and the Council. If you look at the aerial map the footpath is were the green boxed B3047 , near the blue sign marking the bus stop.
