The drains in Swallow Lane are not draining away the heavy rainfall today (18 June 21) and a sizeable body of water has accumulated in front of properties 3/7/11/15. More rain is due this evening which can only make the potential flooding worse. Sandbags have been placed in front of numbers 7 & 11, which are at the low point on the road, in order to mitigate the flooding risk
At my insistence the drains have been cleared but it is the outfall to the drains that remains an issue. We were assured some months ago that this was being allocated to major projects for a permanent resolution but to date no action has been forthcoming. Do we have to wait until a property floods before action will be taken by Bucks Highways?
My neighbours and myself have reported this issue on numerous occasions going back over 2 years and we are still waiting for it to be fixed.
