Overgrowth on Newbury Street from Station road - no room for prams

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 07:57, Wed 16 June 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2795139.

The weather has meant that the section of Newbury Street between Station Road and Firs Way has become very overgrown with nettles and greenery. This makes it impossible to pass anybody without stepping into the road (particularly with social distancing) but also any larger buggies/wheelchairs struggle to fit on the pathway next to this busy road and all are at risk from being stung by nettles. This is a well used pathway as it connects the train station to the centre of Whitchurch so these issues are frequently happening.

Updates

  • This problem is significantly worse and brambles are proving very dangerous. Please look into this ASAP
