Overgrown footpath

Reported via Android in the Footpaths/ Rights of way (usually not tarmac) category anonymously at 15:58, Tue 15 June 2021

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2793983.

This is the footpath alongside the road from Brundall to Strumpshaw at the Strumpshaw Bends. It's impassable due to vegetation and so people are having to walk in the road where it is twisty, narrow and has bad sightlines. This is dangerous both for pedestrians and also for motorists, should they be caught by surprise and thus have a collision with another vehicle.

The vegetation needs to be radically cut back as a matter of priority to restore the path.

Updates

  • Tried to use this pathway in the recent week. As reported the pathway is totally overgrown in many places, thus forcing people out onto a busy road with no accessible verge. It is very dangerous indeed, just a terrible accident waiting to happen!!
