Large square split sewage manhole
Reported via mobile in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 12:32, Tue 15 June 2021
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2793309.
This manhole was new I believe a couple of years ago but it sunk/ moved! It is now very noisy whenever a vehicle drives over it usually from about 0530 and often during the night so wakes us every time drastically affecting the quality of our life!

I have today spoken directly to SevernTrent who have tasked an engineer specifically to inspect two manholes that are causing significant noise when vehicles drive over them along Main Street Bourton

This is still causing a considerable amount of noise pollution and wakes us up without fail early every single morning by about 0500 hours and is very frustrating. A lot of vehicles ignore the 30 mph speed limit so this the drain even louder when driven over at speed! A ST engineer has been some time ago and marked the drains for replacement but no sign of any works yet!

I have been chasing ST about this since March. Nothing is being done about it. Looks like some new tarmac has been put down but this has not addressed the loud banging when a vehicle drives over it. It is also worse now Bourton Hall are running weddings again as cars leaving late at night into the early hours are running over it.

ST have informed me that the manhole by Frankton Lane junction is expected to be repaired on 9/9/21. The noisier manhole at Cherry Tree Lane junction , causing us a considerable amount of grief is is being upgraded so is on order. ST have emailed me several times recently and are trying to expedite the process. I have also spoken to a local parish councillor who has reported it at a higher level to Warwickshire Council in an effort to push it through.

Still waiting for an update from SevernTrent, cannot believe how long it is taking considering what a disruption it causes.
