WODC have recently raised the dropped kerb in Albion Street opposite Albion Yard and in doing so have created a safety issue where vehicles are grounding on the kerbs causing them to damage both the cars and kerbs because the dropped kerb has been raised too high - it is 90mm above road level at the worse point which is beyond any recognised height for dropped kerbs - vehicles entering or leaving Albion Yard do so at such a slow speed that they are vulnerable to impact from other road users and visitors have reported damage to their cars due to the impact with the supposed 'dropped kerb' - this needs to be inspected by a Highways professional and remedial work carried out before an accident or further damage occurs - in short WODC have created a serious safety problem that did not previously exist at tax payers expense
