Road surface badly broken up

Reported in the Potholes category by Kevin Bewley at 10:06, Tue 18 September 2012

Sent to Wiltshire Council 3 minutes later

As one drives towards Lopcombe Corner on the A30 (at the base of the hill by the industrial units on the left) the top layer of the carriageway is badly eroded. There are a series of 2"-4" deep ruts that are significant enough that a cyclist must take evasive action to avoid wheel/tyre damage or an unscheduled dismount. This is a fast section of road (50mph limit) making this a very dangerous section for cyclists and motorcyclists. The damage is significant enough that if one doesn't straddle the damage in a car a VERY loud thump in heard and felt through the car's suspension.
