Sent to Southampton City Council 4 minutes later

Having called Southern Water I was with 'the man' when he lifted the lid's and it's not water related. There are various cables inside, so SCC back to you to chase the responsible utility, hopefully before someone is injured!

  • I'm now told it belong's to VIRGIN and is the back-bone connectivity for the whole University, so when Soton.ac.uk disappears off the 'net we'll know it's sunk far enough to cut the fibre!
