CONSTANT OIL LEAK FROM LORRY @ 28 Wissey View

Reported via desktop anonymously at 20:28, Sun 6 June 2021

Sent to Breckland District Council and Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2772634.

Commercial Lorry parked outside property. Leaks a lot of oil then transfers it to the whole of the road when he drives up and down constantly. There are motorcyclists who live in this road and oil spills, for them, are dangerous. Please also let me have details as to where we can make a general complaint as to the behaviour we have to suffer here.

Updates

  • Any vehicle leaking oil is an MOT failure. Police might be interested. Breckland Council might be the authority for the pollution on the road, but the issue might be with Norfolk County Council Highways. The latter are the hardest to get anything done.

  • Council attended today. Never spoke to perpetrator but, instead simply threw a load of this tarmac stone chippings over areas affected. You could not make it up. Oil on road, well let’s just allow it to continue and we’ll throw a load of tarmaccy stones over it! Am pursuing elsewhere.
