I have also had to deal with horrendously bad cobble jobs.
Several areas in Petersfield have issues with potholes and loose cobbles, and around here is a good example. Quite simply, the design is defective and dangerous, and they need replacing across the whole town in all the places they appear, as I haven't seen many that are actually in good condition.
Please could you let us all know how long this takes to get fixed, and the quality of the fix? Thanks. Also - well done for reporting it, and don't be afraid to keep chasing it up.

I was involved in a near accident with this pothole today. A speeding car travelling over sunken brickwork on the road caused debris to fly up and strike me in the face beneath when trying to cross at this point with my three year old son whilst walking him to The Avenue nursery this morning. The council must know about this pothole because they have spray painted a white circle around it? It's September and this was reported three months ago. What is going on?

Maybe HCC have deprioritised this area of Dragon Street due to the high number of visits.
There have been numerous issues (loose cobbles, rattling manhole covers, bricks coming loose, trees raising pavements, paving slabs cracked due to driving on pavements, potholes, and other trip hazards), of which they only appear to fix one single reported issue every time. This is vastly inefficient and is probably down to a backwards 'money saving' policy created by an incompetent manager.
It's relatively normal to have to wait 3 months for something to be fixed. However, HCC, to be fair, are much better and seem to deal with things within a month or thereabouts. It's not uncommon to wait between 3 months, to 6 months, to multiple years, to never, for EHDC reports to be fixed, by my observations.
If you've been hurt then perhaps you're owed some money? The council often springs into action when they think they will be fined.
