Cars parked on both sides of road

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:58, Wed 2 June 2021

Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2763809.

I am a supervisor for the waste collection company of West Oxfordshire. I have had a safety concern raised regarding the terrible parking of residents and visitors. Each week our vehicles attempt to service the road and are always met with cars parked on both sides of the road. The residents do not leave enough gap which then takes our crews multiple manoeuvres to steer around one car, then they are met with another 20 cars that are parked in the same manner. This is of course is at high risk of both damaging our vehicles and any member of the public's car that is parked here. I would like to request that you look into the following

1) Please enquire into placing double yellow lines on one side of the road so as it forces all road users when parking here to park on that side. This will then stop the multi manoeuvring, having to stop and find residents to move cars and thus makes a much less of a risk of damaging any vehicles.
